New business models emerge in the COVID-19 era.
Virtual worlds are no longer found in fictions or sci-fi movies. Whether they are in form of metaverse, immersive virtual reality, augmented reality or NFT art, the virtual and physical worlds are now merging to become one.
The effects on the pandemic are spurring a search by enterprises for ways to connect social or environmental impact with larger audiences and virtual economies. Chinachem Group, like many other forward-looking companies, is keen to explore ways to integrate virtual world concepts in its businesses and projects.
Nina Park, one of Chinachem Group’s project focusing on sustainability, is currently undergoing revitalisation and will be re-open to public in fall 2023. Located in Tsuen Wan, Nina Park is a new member of the Nina hub, comprised of Nina Hotel Tsuen Wan West and Nina Mall. The park contains one of the largest collections of wood fossils in Asia. Local and international visitors are invited to go on a voyage of time, learn about wood fossils formation while understanding the fragility of the environment and the importance of its protection.
The Challenge
Chinachem Group seeks to envision the future of our built environment, as well as reactivate existing ones through physical and digital integrations. Now, think about –
“How to use cutting-edge technologies such as web 3.0 (e.g. metaverse, blockchain) to promote an open space, such as the upcoming Nina Park, in the digital world?
With use of such information technologies, how to bring people from the virtual expanse to physical world so as to foster a community connecting like-minded people?”
We invite brilliant students like YOU to share your inspirational ideas to –
- revolutionize physical and virtual environments to build the society and cities of the future
- forge social connection between people regardless of whatever physical barriers there may be
- come up with a financially viable and self-sustainable business case
